Individual Programmes

Shaped around you

Engagement Structures

Khanea curates individual programmes for those seeking a considered, personal approach to psychedelic therapy and recovery.

Each engagement is shaped around the individual — their circumstances, intentions, preferences, priorities and the level of involvement they require.

Rather than fixed packages, the structure and duration are determined according to the work itself.

A programme may be focused on a single modality and relatively compact, or extend over a longer period, with the scope shaped around the preparation, therapeutic work, integration, intensity and continuity required.

Assessment

Every engagement begins with an in-depth understanding of the client.

We consider your circumstances, intentions, previous experiences, current needs, individual preferences and priorities, and the kind of support you are seeking. Medical, psychological and therapeutic considerations are incorporated as appropriate to the individual and the engagement.

The assessment establishes whether Khanea can support the engagement and provides the clarity to determine its scope and structure.

Delivery

The engagement encompasses preparation, practitioner liaison, the therapeutic experience itself, travel and the surrounding arrangements.

Depending on the individual programme, the experience may involve private one-to-one work, a residential setting or a more closely held private arrangement. These may be arranged across different locations and jurisdictions, reflecting the global nature of Khanea’s work.

Design

The engagement is then shaped around the client — from the therapeutic approach and practitioners to the setting, duration and level of involvement, with the surrounding arrangements considered as part of the whole.

The degree of independence is considered with the same care. This is not simply a matter of less support, but of understanding what the individual wishes to manage themselves and where greater involvement or coordination is required.

Continuity

The engagement does not necessarily end with the experience or the initial period of integration. Where appropriate, Khanea can establish arrangements for continued therapeutic support, practitioner follow-up and further integration or care, extending the work into the period that follows.

These arrangements are determined according to the individual and the nature of the work, rather than a predetermined timeframe.

Preparation

Preparation is a foundational part of every engagement. Regardless of the overall duration or level of support, sufficient preparation is built into the programme before the experience takes place. This may include preparatory therapeutic conversations, practical planning and guidance around the experience, together with relevant medical or psychological considerations.

The depth and duration of preparation depend on the individual, the modality, and the nature and the scope of the work.

The Experience

The therapeutic experience is arranged according to the programme, modality, practitioner and setting determined through the design process

The setting, practitioner and degree of proximity are considered as part of the programme design, with independence and support calibrated to the circumstances of each engagement.

The intention is to create the conditions in which the work can be undertaken with the necessary privacy, safety, focus and care.

Integration Support

Following the experience, support may be provided remotely or through a period of closer proximity. Where appropriate, a practitioner or support person may stay in close proximity to the client for an agreed period, creating greater continuity and availability as the experience is processed.

The nature of this arrangement is shaped around the individual and may range from scheduled check-ins to dedicated half- or full-day integration.

Integration

The experience is only one part of the programme.

Integration provides space to process what has emerged, make sense of the experience, and begin translating meaningful insights into everyday life. The nature and degree of support are shaped around the individual, with different levels of proximity available as needed following the experience.

Accompaniment

A defined pattern of contact and in-person presence can be incorporated into a programme, agreed around the client’s circumstances.

It may range from discreet coordination and periodic contact to a much closer level of personal support around preparation, travel, the experience, integration and practical arrangements.

Scheduled presence
Agreed periods of presence at defined points during the day — for example, morning, midday or evening.

Half day
Approximately four hours of in-person presence within an agreed period.

Full day
Approximately eight hours of in-person presence within an agreed period.

Individual Care

Khanea programmes are designed around the individual — the work you are seeking to undertake, the support it requires, and the level of care and involvement you want around it.

Rather than offering a fixed set of packages, each engagement is considered on its own terms. The programme may involve preparation, therapeutic work, integration, ongoing support, or a combination of these, coordinated around your circumstances and objectives.

A considered Approach

Some people come to Khanea with a clear intention and a defined period of work in mind. Others require more time to understand what would be appropriate before deciding how to proceed.

The shape and duration of an engagement therefore varies. What remains consistent is the level of attention given to understanding the individual, identifying appropriate practitioners and modalities, and ensuring that the experience is supported before, during and after the work itself.

Engagement Structures

The following provide a sense of how an engagement might be structured. They are examples rather than fixed programmes.

Four-week programme

A focused period of preparation, therapeutic work and integration for those seeking a more defined and concentrated engagement.

This may include an initial assessment and preparation period, coordination with the selected practitioner or programme, support throughout the experience, and structured integration afterwards.

Three-month programme

A deeper engagement allowing greater time for preparation, therapeutic work and integration, with ongoing involvement from Khanea throughout.

This can be appropriate where the work is more complex, where multiple modalities or practitioners are involved, or where a longer period of continuity would be beneficial.

Beyond the programme itself

Where appropriate, we remain involved across the wider arc of the work — helping to coordinate practitioners, logistics and practical considerations while maintaining a clear view of the individual journey as a whole.

The intention is simple: to remove unnecessary complexity and create the conditions for you to give your attention to the work itself.

Access is considered within the wider programme and shaped around the individual.

Addiction - Ibogaine

Ibogaine is a particular area of focus within Khanea’s work with addiction and substance dependency.

The approach is not centred on the medicine alone. Where ibogaine is being considered, the wider circumstances of the individual, relevant medical considerations, practitioner expertise, setting and the work required before and after the experience are taken into account.

A programme may incorporate practitioner assessment, preparation, the ibogaine experience and structured integration, with further therapeutic support or continuity where appropriate.

Ibogaine is not presented as a universal solution to addiction. Its use requires appropriate assessment and qualified practitioner involvement, particularly where existing medications, medical conditions or other clinical considerations are relevant.

Parkinson’s - Ibogaine

Khanea also facilitates enquiries from individuals exploring ibogaine in the context of Parkinson’s.

This is a specialised and emerging area of interest. Ibogaine is not presented as an established treatment for Parkinson’s, and any consideration of its use requires appropriate medical assessment and specialist practitioner involvement.

The focus is on determining whether the appropriate professional framework, practitioner and setting can be established for the enquiry.

Where appropriate, the wider programme may include preparation, practitioner liaison, travel and setting arrangements, the experience itself and structured integration afterwards.

Psychospiritual Exploration - Iboga

Iboga can be approached outside a conventional treatment context, particularly by individuals seeking deeper psycho-spiritual exploration or an encounter with aspects of their history and identity that have remained unresolved.

For some, this may include exploration of family history, ancestral experience and inherited patterns. Khanea approaches this territory with respect for the cultural and spiritual traditions from which iboga originates, while recognising that each individual’s relationship to the experience is different.

This is distinct from ibogaine pathways focused on addiction or other specific therapeutic enquiries. The emphasis here is exploratory rather than on presenting iboga as a treatment for a particular condition.

Depression - Ketamine (Cape Town)

Khanea facilitates access to selected practitioners and clinical settings in Cape Town for individuals considering ketamine-assisted treatment.

The pathway may be appropriate where ketamine forms part of a wider therapeutic programme, with the relevant practitioner determining the clinical approach and treatment protocol.

For those travelling to Cape Town, the programme can incorporate the surrounding arrangements required to make the engagement practical and convenient, including individually structured programmes.

Preparation, treatment and integration are structured according to the individual engagement, with practitioner follow-up and longer-term continuity incorporated where appropriate.

Structure & Sequence

Khanea may work with a client over several months, and in some cases for up to a year, allowing different modalities to be considered within a broader programme.

Where appropriate, this may involve more than one modality, with each stage informed by the client’s circumstances, practitioner input, response to previous work and the requirements of what follows.

A programme might incorporate Ibogaine, 5-MeO-DMT, Psilocybin, and Ayahuasca over an extended period — not as a fixed protocol, but as a considered progression shaped by the client’s circumstances.

Independent practitioners may advise on whether a modality should be introduced, deferred or excluded, with attention given to preparation, integration and the intervals between stages.

Boundaries

Khanea operates within clearly defined professional, ethical and jurisdictional boundaries. We carefully assess our clients’ circumstances, history and objectives to shape each engagement, with its direction guided by the professional judgement of the practitioners involved, while professional responsibility remains within the scope of their practice.

The assessment takes into account the individual’s circumstances and safety, together with relevant professional and clinical considerations. This includes acute psychological or psychiatric instability, immediate risk of harm to oneself or others, significant medical or psychological concerns, and other contraindications or circumstances that may affect whether or how a particular programme, setting or modality can be undertaken.

Where these considerations fall outside the scope within which Khanea can responsibly act, the proposed engagement may not proceed through Khanea. Acute crises or situations requiring immediate intervention should be addressed through emergency, medical or mental health services.\

Please refer to our Terms and Disclaimer for further information.

Responsibility

Not every enquiry is taken forward. Khanea may not proceed where the circumstances, requested scope, jurisdiction, practitioner advice or other considerations mean that the work cannot be undertaken responsibly.

Each situation is considered on its individual circumstances, with engagements taken forward only where Khanea can coordinate the work ethically, safely and to the standard expected.

Where Khanea does not proceed, this is not a judgement on the individual or their circumstances, but a determination that the requested engagement falls outside what Khanea can responsibly undertake.

Every engagement begins with a conversation.

This allows us to understand where you are, what you are seeking, and whether Khanea is the right service for you. From there, we determine together the appropriate scope and structure of the engagement.
